About the job:

TAS Commercial Concrete Construction has an immediate opening for a Concrete Pump Truck Mechanic,in Dallas, TX.  This position is accountable for conducting diagnostics, repairs and maintenance of company concrete pump trucks in a safe and effective manner, including repairs of heavy to light equipment, trucks, generators, and other mechanical equipment by performing the following duties mainly in the field.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses issues with equipment and or tools, engines (gas, diesel, electric) including hydraulic systems 
  • Disassembles and cleans parts for correct repair procedure
  • Determines estimated cost of repairs and downtime
  • Places order for parts
  • Repairs to specified guidelines per manufacturer or company policy
  • Maintains electronic repair logs for each repair
  • Creates a safe and clean working environment per company rules and guidelines
  • Wears proper PPE at all times
  • Works well with others in high stress situations
  • Performs other routine duties as outlined by supervisor
  • Maintains a positive attitude while performing duties
  • Disassembles motor or parts of motors and cleans parts
  • Obtains parts from stock
  • Cleans tools and working area
  • Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas
  • Pulls handles to raise materials and tools to working levels
  • Loosens bolts to dismantle machinery
  • Cleans machines with sandpaper, solvent, and wiping rags to prepare surfaces for painting
  • Oils and greases machines
  • Cleans work area, tools, and equipment
  • Makes welding repairs or fabrications in the shop or on jobsite
  • Works on construction equipment as needed
  • Maintains equipment and tools to ensure long lasting use
  • All employees, current and former, must maintain confidentiality by not disclosing to others any confidential, proprietary, and trade secret information belonging to the company
  • Responsible and accountable for own personal safety
  • Responsible and accountable for the safety of all co-workers and any others on job site
  • Authorized and obligated to stop work on any task whenever an unsafe condition or situation is anticipated or is observed
  • Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, company policies, procedures, and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to comply
