Job Description: The concrete worker will be working to install form work and place concrete in areas of the building where the concrete is severely deteriorated. They will also be drilling and epoxying reinforcing steel but the majority of the work will be formwork. Some concrete chipping will also be required. The work will be done on existing beams, columns and slabs inside the building
Our Client collaborates with clients to improve infrastructure by combining our award-winning specialty construction, repair and maintenance services with our proprietary technologies to provide innovative solutions for demanding engineering and construction challenges.
Work Environment: Projects are between Baltimore and Northern VA. The majority of the projects tend to be clustered in the DC/NOVA area. Projects will range in size and scope from smaller less than 3 week jobs to large $10M+ jobs that will last more than 2 years.
Contractors can expect to work at any of these sites at a given time, but efforts will be made to keep them closer to home.
The work schedules fluctuate with Structural having people working on various projects 24/7/365. ALL Candidates need to be comfortable with working day/nights/weekends as needed.
Some of the sites may include Gov't sites which would require a gov't background/site access check as well as valid registration and driver's license to get to the site. There is no site to site work during the day.
The company has around 150-200 field personnel at any given time and they are looking to grow/add staff for the next several weeks. Work is booked through the next couple years with no signs of things slowing anytime soon. The company offers ample room for training, advancement and growth for those that are open and interested.
Qualifications: For the concrete workers we are looking for semi-skilled concrete laborers. They should have prior experience working on concrete projects to include formwork, chipping, grouting, use of air compressor and grouting.
The ideal candidate will have 18 months+ of related concrete, preferably horizontal or structural concrete experience.
Candidates must be able to commute to any areas in the Balt/DC/NOVA area. Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
Be able to pass 7 year background, drug screen and non-dot physical.
