HIRING for two individuals that will be testing concrete, asphalt and masonry on MDOT jobs under direction of other technicians.
Company is a geotechnical engineering firm that works with construction companies to make sure the work performed is correct and the concrete is up to standard.
-Get in company truck, then reporting to the job site location. All through out Metro Detroit area. Home every night.
-Performing density, air pressure, and compaction tests on the concrete, asphalt and masonry to see how dense and compact the concrete and soils are.
-Using Troxler to complete testing
-Inspection of concrete placement and concrete curing
-Writing reports/drawing maps of the site to bring back for final reports.
Our contractor will take concrete samples randomly from the concrete truck. From there he/she will put the samples in a cylinder and label to be tested later at their lab.
The contractor will use a nuclear density machine to test the compaction % of the soil. Individual must be aware of the specifications for that project and what the % has to be. Specifications are construction guidelines that have to be followed per project.
