70% taking and testing concrete samples
30% taking and testing soil samples

Combination of lab testing and job site testing.
Soil density and soil compaction
Use a rod to create hole 1 foot into ground and push probe in to get the soil sample and pack the soil into a mold for a baseline.

Sampling done at the beginning of the project. may do 3-4 Samples (buckets) for whole 8 month project in the very beginning. And use data the rest of the testing. Not very extensive lifting.
Density lifting – 20 lbs on a fairly regular basis

Concrete – wheel barrow 5 feet and run testing with smalls scoop – will make cylinder with fresh concrete and existing concrete will have someone else drill a cylinder. Those 4-5 lbs

Carry 5 gallon buckets of soil sample called 'Proctors'
Carry Nuclear Density Gague to do the compaction testing – weighs 40-50 lbs
Foundation testing – look at reinforcing steel to be in compliance with shop drawings
Make sure steel is properly tied
Concrete testing
In the lab – log and track the numbers from the machines when testing the concrete and soil
Concrete compression strength testing
Test for plasticity limit and moisture content testing – relationship between soil density and moisture contest to find which level gets the best level of compaction

Report writing – Entry level data entry stating that everything was tested and if it pass/fail.
Send report to engineer before submitting to the contractor
Report made up of percentages and weights.
Pen and paper – will transition to tablets later
